Abstract
This Transportation Research Record contains 11 papers that are concerned with the management and maintenance of highway structures and pavements. Specific topics discussed by the papers on structures include a highway structures information system, cost models for a bridge management system, photogrammetry for bridge inspection and historic bridge documentation, and bridge deck stay-in-place metal forms. Topics discussed by the papers on pavements include life cycle costs of local residential streets, chip seals, bituminous surface treatment, hot-poured bituminous sealant cooling rates and viscosity, bituminous sealant mechanical response at low temperature, and damage mechanism of reinforced concrete pavement joint sealant.
