Abstract

In this article a Quality Management Concept (QMC) for data will be presented and exemplified for traffic data extracted from mobile phone network information. Quality of these data will be evaluated using stationary traffic data acquisition systems (SAS) as reference. The project Do-iT1 has dealt with trajectories of road users, so called FPD (Floating Phone Data (FPD) generated from mobile phone traffic. The article shows that up to 1.1 % of traffic volume is detectable depending on environment. Correlation between SAS- and FPD-determined traffic volumes accounts up to 0.86. Consequently traffic volume can be projected and LOS may be derivable.
