Abstract

This paper details how Oxfordshire County Council have adapted UTMC to manage highway Network and associated Park and Ride sites using data from both UTMC data sources and from the COTM SATURN model and microsimulation. It describes the development of network strategies to enable effective management of Park and Ride sites and to mitigate the effects of network incidents and events by the implementation of these strategies and how full integration of the model into the UTMC environment with Active Traffic Management on the A34 and Ring Road could help improve reliability.
