Abstract

Devon is one of the largest counties in UK with the most extensive mileage of roads.A fundamental problem in the management of a large network of minor roads is determining the right level of priority for investment. In this connection policies formore effective management using up to date information technology techniques are described. The benefits arising from a good data base for both strategic and local decisions are discussed.
