Abstract
The notion that marihuana is harmless has enjoyed a high degree of acceptability with only a minimum of scientific support. Several publications have advocated legalization of marihuana on this basis. But there is a growing evidence that indicates otherwise. Six different types of potential hazard are listed and discussed.
