Abstract

This issue of Current Topics includes over 60 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on attitudes to, acceptance of and marketing of intelligent transport systems to drivers and other road users. Among the technologies considered are: intelligent speed adaptation, toll collection methods, driver information systems, route guidance systems, collision warning systems, passenger information systems, and smart cards. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory’s Library Database between 2003 and 2006. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
