Abstract

The successful marketing program of the Central New York Centro which registered substantial increases in ridership and revenues is described. Marketing functions have included the following: research group transportation needs and elderly and handicapped transportation needs; the establishment of reasonable pricing policies; modification of bus design and equipment of minibuses for the elderly and handicapped, and instituting special promotions and services involving reduced rates.
