Abstract

The Danish Road Safety Council ran its first bicycle helmet campaign in 1990 and because of its success further campaigns have followed each year. These campaigns are described and in particular the effect on each target group. Strategies for campaigns up to the year 2000 are discussed. These will be targeted at adults but with the effects on teenagers particularly in mind. Details are given of competitions included in the the campaigns.
