Abstract

This paper describes the study approach and results of a transit demonstration project conducted in a residential area of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The study included a survey of the physical arrangement of streets and land use, as well as socio-economic characteristics of the resident. On the basis of data evaluation a new system of main line and shuttle service was recommended for the study area, which had almost no mass transit service.
