Abstract

A computer program has been developed for simulating impacts of various vehicles with guard rails. The simulation covers the complete behaviour of the vehicle and of the crash barrier. A certain number of full scale tests has been computed and a fair agreement with experimental results has been obtained. Using such program the number of full scale tests could be reduced substantially.
