Abstract

This paper describes a trip distribution model possessing several intuitively desirable properties. The model is suitable for analyzing traffic patterns and for forecasting future origin and destination trip tables. Its main advantage lies in its computational simplicity and its capability to balance zonal trip productions and attractions without resort to an interactive process.
