Abstract

An overview over a new kind of computation method in the field of vehicle development is presented. The computer program applied is called ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems). The general theory of the program is explained by a simple example. Some applications, especially with regard to vehicle handling, are described, and computation results are compared with tests.
