Abstract

The article is a critic on the book of J. Cohen: "The probable and the provable". Mr. Cohen demonstrates that legal proof cannot be accurately expressed in mathematical terms. Despite the deficiencies of the book we should be grateful to him for the stimulus he has given us to think about these matters.
