Abstract

Intermodal strategy manager (ISM) is a development within the framework of the Hessian WAYflow-project for improving traffic management in the Rhine-Main area of Germany. ISM supports the planning of new strategies and the optimisation of existing strategies. ISM development is system-independent and every partner is still responsible for its own area. ISM consists of four components: the Strategy Manager for strategy selection and on-line traffic analysis within the strategic network, the ISM Server for managing the coordination process, the Traffic Management Data Warehouse for administrating the strategies and traffic data, and the Scenario Analysis System (SAS). The SAS system is described and its operation is illustrated. For the covering abstract see ITRD E115762.
