Abstract
The taper gauges described in this article provide a rapid, simple and accurate method of measuring screen aperture size. They were designed for use in commercial screening plant during an investigation into screening that is being carried out by the Road Research Laboratory. The present detailed description of the gauges supplements the brief reference in an earlier article which has attracted considerable attention.
