Abstract

No single measure is adequately able to define the quality of traffic service. Over the years a large variety of such measures have been proposed for various engineering and operational applications. In the present compilation, each measure is defined, the basic concept and its parameters are presented, the nature and method of measurement are described, and applications are identified. Additionally, basic references are given. In all, 29 measures are so treated.
