Abstract

"Smart Mobility Kochi", an internet public transport information service, was introduced on trial in autumn 2002, implemented on a regular basis in2004, and overhauled in spring 2005. After its overhaul, partly due to massive promotion and PR activities, the access count continues to increase. For its sustainable service provision, content expansion, timely data updating, further PR and an establishment of its firm management structure for stable service provision are essential. This thesis explains the detailsand the result of the overhaul in 2005, and the evaluation of the serviceone year after the overhaul. It also shows how the service should be operated responding the needs of users, and future updating and content development. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
