Abstract

An increasing number of studies is devoted to performance of automobile drivers. The main categories in which these studies can be divided are: psychological aptitude tests, simulator studies and field studies under more of less controlled conditions. The data obtained in these studies range from test scores, to observational data and introspection, to direct measurement of driving behaviour and psycho-physiological measurements.
