Measuring the effects of changes in vehicle design with mass accident data.

Abstract

This article presents a mathematical model which relates specific improvements to specific accident events in order to measure the effectiveness of vehicle modifications. The data base for this study is gathered from 15000 Michigan fatal accidents which occurred over the past 6 years.
