Abstract

This paper describes an approach to the dynamic testing of car tyres in the stationary and rolling condition. The method of testing is justified from the mechanical impedance/mobility point of view and its value is demonstrated in the extraction of tyre resonant frequency and associated vibration mode shapes in the frequency range 10-200 Hz.
