Abstract

Since the 1920s when the House of Delegates recommended examinations to determine drivers' fitness, the American Medical Association has been concerned with highway safety issues. The first AMA publication on medical conditions appeared in 1959. After it underwent several revisions, most recently in 1973, it was appropriate to review this important subject. This new revised edition is presented here.
