Abstract

The medical conditions which cause or at least are associated with traffic accidents have been reviewed. While the emphasis has been on physical defects and drug or alcohol use as reasons for restriction of drivers licenses, it is recognized that driver attitude and emotional state play a heavier role in the cause of traffic accidents.
