Abstract

Over a period of about a year, nearly 10000 drivers were interviewed by telephone. Information obtained concerned, on the one hand, medical and associated condition and, on the other hand, driving habits, in particular annual mileage. About four accidents per thousand deaths, and a further 149 per thousand caused injuries. Attempts are being made to obtain greater details in these cases.
