Abstract

This report summarizes the material found in the published literature on medical problems as it relates to the occurrence of traffic accidents. Several classifications were considered namely chronic medical conditions sudden illness suicide disability and drug use. The effect on the accident rate of removal of specified categories of diseased individuals should be studied. Particular attention should be paid to the number of licenses which would have to be denied for each particular category studied.
