Abstract

Modern air transport of sick and wounded has proven to be a very quick and smooth and a traumatic transport. There are nevertheless numerous objections against this type of transport but under certain circumstances air transport will always be the method of choice when 1) no serviceable roads are available; 2) road-transport will be more time consuming than air transport.
