Abstract

The simplest method of a quick diagnosing of drunkenness is the determination of the alcohol content of exhaled air. So-called analyzer tubes are used in these contain an acid chromate compound in silica gel. In the presence of alcohol the yellow chromate turn green. The Nagy-Isigmond type breath-analyzer was tested in 250 cases and the results are presented.
