Abstract

The computer-controlled system is a superior tool-- enabling the traffic engineer to keep abreast of new developments and implement them more rapidly than ever before. In particular the system has shown that a computer system can be readily adapted to handle different control techniques, and give almost immediate feedback in concrete terms.
