The application of Logistic Management Systems can be an important instrument to improve the quality of public transport. If those systems are used only for the support of the utilization, the effect on the quality improvement will be limited. For a real improvement to the quality of public transport, attention to quality must be made throughout the whole organization. A necessary condition is the integral approach of information provisions. Besides a clear definition of tasks and responsibilities, it is necessary that information can be given for testing the criteria of quality used. Basic data of the exploitation collected by the Logistic Management System are the starting point for an improvement of the quality of public transport.
