A paper published in this journal by Park and Lee (1992) on the use of a computerized battery to select pilots for the Korean Air Force is reviewed. In this paper, the authors describe problems associated with the selection, implementation, and administration of the tasks constituting the computerized battery in Park and Lee. Problems associated with the data analysis are also discussed and focus on factor interpretation and nonindependent statistical tests. Some general guidelines are offered for developing computerized pilot selection batteries and data analysis.
