Abstract

This paper describes the methodology and the experimental tool developed at INRETS-LESCOT in order to analyse drivers' Situation Awareness. After a short introduction concerning our own meaning of the SA concept (i.e. driver's mental model of the current driving situation), we will present the general principle of the used protocol, and some experiment results obtained with this methodology. Then, we will illustrate the interest of using a "visual feed back" in order to analyse SA errors. (Author/publisher)
