Abstract

This proceedings contains following papers and appendices: The status of methodological problems and the search for solutions; Studies on man-machine interaction; Epidemiology and special population surveys; Toxicological assay of psychoactive substances in biological fluids; Empirical man-machine interaction studies: proposed flow chart; Epidemiological studies: proposed forms; and Comprehensive EIA/GC screening and GC-MS confirmation of psychoactive substances in blood and urine. The aim was to widen and unify the methodology in the research of alcohol and other drugs in connection with transportation. One of this Workshop goals was also to rationalize studies carried out in various parts of the world to allow comparisons of the results without involving the need for repetitions of confirmations already made. The main aim of the Workshop was to make the comparisons of results obtained at different places and different time possible. The papers are separately referred in this journal.
