Abstract

Methodology in road safety education (RSE) has undergone a significant change in the UK in the last decade. In 1974, certain local authorities were given the statutory duty to promote RSE, one result of which is an increased level of professionalism and acceptability among client groups, public education in RSE is achieved, largely, as a result of voluntary response to the approaches of the practitioners Four stages of evaluation are used as tools to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
