Abstract
The main purpose of the project is to improve the factual documentation in accident and exposure data used in the road safety work. This first phase has included three sub-projects; a synopsis of literature concerning in depth accident investigations, a survey and analysis regarding the collection and presentation of accident data and finally a study of the inquiry procedure used by the police at road traffic accidents.
