Abstract

A general account is given of the new accident investigation methods which are based on the approach developed in the U.S.A. It is considered that, of the three elements present in traffic accidents, the vehicle and the road play only a minor part and that an error in driver behaviour is the main cause of accidents. The training that is being given to traffic patrol officers is outlined.
