Abstract

The Michigan Alcohol Screening Test consists of 26 questions devised to provide a Consistent quantifiable interview instrument for the detection of alcoholism. It is arranged so that some questions will appear sufficiently ''neutral '' to permit evasive alcoholics to betray their drinking problems. A scoring system establishes a universal quantifiable means of diagnosing alcoholism.
