Abstract

The principal objectives of this paper are to present a long-term travel demand model for households with up to two active workers. Travel demand will indirectly be derived from a micro-econometric model for residential location, house type and choice of work location for each worker. However, because of the excessive trade-off between accessibility and transportation costs it is necessary to consider car ownership as being endogenously determined as well.
