Abstract

For some time the driver behaviour at non-urban T-junctions has been studied by video recording. This paper describes the design and construction of an alternative system to collect traffic data and transfer it to a central computer for processing. The use of this new system in recent observations of traffic behaviour at T-junctions is discussed and compared with the video techniques used before.
