Abstract

The MIGRAZUR operation is structured around a computerized system based on an expert operational assistance system. This device is designed to manage the accident risk and to maintain a level of service defined according to three criteria: security, fluidity and comfort. This system uses a network that gathers information and data comprising telesurveillance, emergency call point, traffic stations and automatic accident detection. It uses image analysis to collect data. An active network whose main elements are variable message signs, active signposting, an ISO radio frequency and automatic lane neutralization are used to provide driver information and traffic management. The MIGRAZUR system is an example of assistance system for the management and supervision of traffic, requiring high level of availability and reliability and this is why security is a recurring theme, both from a user's and from the personnel's point of view and regarding the equipment involved.
