Abstract
This article refers to the application of HaTelit asphalt reinforcement grid, made of high-modulus polyester, from manufacturer Huesker. The grid is combined with an ultra-thin nonwoven installation aid and a bituminous coating to create optimum bond between the asphalt layers. Milling trials were carried out to demonstrate that the grid can be milled and the millings recycled. At a superficial level, milling left the grid in place undamaged; at a deeper level, no detrimental effect occurred on the milling operation by including the reinforcement.
