By order of the Traffic and Transport Administration of the Dutch Ministry of Transport and Public Works, two experiments on a small-scale have been set up and evaluated at this ministry. An important question at the set-up of both experiments was: "Can telework make an important contribution to the reduction of peak-period traffic?". On the basis of the results of these experiments, telework appears to lead to less commuter traffic during peak hours, without giving rise to any problems within the organisation itself or leading to an increase of other traffic.
