Abstract

The alcohol blitzes are described, and the results are charted in terms of car park occupancy. Results indicate that each of the two blitzes reduces the road losses that normally accrue from alcohol-impaired driving that this effect was in the neighbourhood of a 20% injury reduction and that this was one of the first such effects to be convincingly documented in this or any other country.
