"Minitram" in Britain : automatic urban transportation.

Abstract

A project study for the application of the Minitram concept to a typical large industrial city is given. Minitram is a medium capacity rapid transit system capable of operating at short headways with a single vehicle capacity of 12-20 passengers and trains of up to three such vehicles also envisaged. The Minitram route is separate from the conventional urban traffic by means of segregated, elevated guideway.
