Abstract

The implementation for the metro of Santiago de Chile of the automatic driving of trains is presented. The system which has been chosen has the particularity that the speed program is set on the track. As one can not multiply the number of real sized tests, the realization of such a system depends on the building and use of a simulation model. Therefore a three phases approach was used, which phases are described.
