Misleading perception and vehicle guidance under poor conditions of visibility.

Abstract

Perceptual difficulties concerning vehicle guidance under poor conditions of visibility may not simply be a matter of inadequate visual information. It is possible that what visual information is available may be the subject of misleading or inadequate perceptual analysis. Some of the increasing number of perceptual factors that may support this assertion are outlined.
