Abstract

Mobility problems faced by spinal cord injury patients are presented after which the existing automobile controls for the handicapped are discussed. Current efforts at evaluation and standardization of this equipment are described, and design considerations are outlined for the development of new equipment in order to allow the more severely handicapped to drive.
