Abstract

Meeting the mobility needs of all users, in a way that is both safe and comfortable, requires that particular attention is paid to the most vulnerable users. This session will first address practical solutions implementedin various contexts to improve safety and facilitate the transport of thevarious user categories (pedestrians, cyclists, and people with reduced mobility). Then the knowledge acquired from the behavioural and physiological point of view will be discussed in order to draw lessons for road design and road infrastructure improvements. For the covering abstract see ITRDE139491.
