Abstract

This study investigates how cities in the Netherlands can be (re)designed in such a way that the bicycle will be the main transport mode. The most important starting point used in the study is the `assumed' relationship between mobility, town planning and layout. The planning horizon of the study is the year 2015. In addition, a case study is presented for the cities of Enschede and Dordrecht.
