Abstract

Urban quality, regional economic development and mobility are highly influenced by transport demand and supply. Intelligent transport systems used for transport management purposes offer chances and challenges to improve the traffic situation in existing transport networks. This paper describes the approach and contents of the project MOBINET, a large-scale transport management project for the Greater Munich Area, aiming to implement innovative traffic technology and new concepts of mobility services for all modes of transport.
