Abstract

The U.S. Department of Transportation regulates automotive vehicle design in order to reduce the likelehood of human injury. Therefore a human head injury impact simulator was designed. This mounted at the end of a pneumatically propelled ram. The impact device consists of the following components head form, protective cover, plate and ram. (A)
