Abstract

One way of increasing the area served by public transport facilities is to improve access. In order to study this policy a modelling procedure has been developed which is reported. Three aspects are considered: (1) how to predict the chosen routes in the combination of access and main line networks; (2) how to assign probabilities to these routes; and (3) how to estimate the coefficients of this model.
